Lotus is working hard to getting the next Esprit ready for its 2013 production target Lotus is working on its own 4.8 liter V8 that power the mid engine along with the front engine the new V8 engine produce 500 horsepower while the turbo charged would produce 630 Horsepower.

Lotus next generation vehicles will be fully modular front and mid engine platforms will be different but the same basic components holding Esprit together would also be used for Eterne. Lotus is surely working on 4.8 liter V8 engine.
